THINE'S LEADERSHIP

As the founder of THINE Mental Health Coaches, Inc. (THINE), Mr. Tyrone McKinney is dedicated to positively impacting youth through coaching, mentorship, and support services. A Los Angeles County native with over 15 years of experience as a Mental Health Coach, he specializes in anger management, mentorship, and motivation for youth and adolescents.

Mr. McKinney is passionate about connecting with young people, particularly student-athletes, to improve their mental health and performance. His own experiences growing up in Compton, California, and facing social challenges inspire his commitment to helping others navigate life's obstacles. After entering foster care at age eight, he was supported by a caring Social Worker, which motivated him to pay it forward.

As a Deacon at his church, Mr. McKinney feels a divine responsibility to mentor and inspire youth. He brings significant professional credentials, holding licenses as a Sociologist and Marriage & Family Therapist, and has served in various roles, including Psychotherapist and Case Manager. He is also trained in Trauma-Informed Care and Harm Reduction Strategies.

For over 17 years, Mr. McKinney has volunteered with community youth sports teams and values family time with his wife and children. Through THINE, he aims to help young people overcome challenges, focusing on stress management, healthy routines, and effective communication, guiding them from elementary school through college.
